is put in to console when trying to view any subscribed workshop item and they do not load when starting a game

getting the exact same error. absolutely no addons are working and i tried resubscribing and reinstalling gmod.

It's saying I have no subscriptions, but I can still clearly see all the files for them in the addons folder.

Error 16 is 'timed out'. I'm guessing workshop was undergoing some kind of maintenance.

Got an update for the game, fixed it. Problem solved.

My Garry's mod just updated, and I keep getting those errors still.
Any idea what to do? Going to reinstall gmod now.

(uk time) but at around 1pm the problem fixes for me :/

I wiped my GMod, and restarted steam, problem persists. I think the workshop could be under maintenance.

Workshop is not under maintenance. Go to the page, it works. However, I didn't get shit all when somebody said that they received a quick patch that fixes this...

The workshop VDFs are no longer used for srcds, its moved on to the [url=https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/CSGO_Workshop_For_Server_Operators]CS:GO system[/url] of subscribing to a collection of workshop addons.

Workshop system seems to be down for maintenance or something at the moment also.
