I'm Working on my MIDI script. It takes in a midi file, processes the events and plays it back synchronized with an mp3. Apologies for the crappy video quality. First test. [vid]http://puu.sh/19YmV[/vid] Second test (the voice you hear is MacDGuy over Skype, oops). [vid]http://puu.sh/1a08O[/vid] In-game it synchs up perfectly, but some of the frames are missing in the video. Still tackling some synchronization issues during recording. Using gm_video breaks everything so I had to use fraps. :(

I made this [url=http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1149249]syntax highlighting[/url] module a year ago if you want to use it. It supports strings and block strings like [==[ ]==].
I'm actually using a javascript editor called ace. I figured using an DHtml panel would be a little bit easier on the frame rate. (plus most of the hard work like multiple cursors and block highlighting is already done for me)
Like the one Python has been working on on metastruct? You could take some inspiration from it

Looks nice, although I don't think I'd find myself coding anything huge in-game. Although, that would make a great addition to the in-game item creator I'm working on for my RP gamemode.

You could compare yours to the Crysis weapon modification menu. [img]http://www.gamersglobal.com/media/special/crysis/crysis_modification.jpg[/img] This menu shows exactly which part you are changing. You don't even have to read about the parts. You know that section 4 is Sights and scopes because the selection menu is close to a scope and it's highlighting the current selected scope with a sprite (4). This is good mapping in my opinion. So just by moving your tiny windows closer to the part you change and highlight it in some way you will get better mapping. Maybe draw a 2D line between the selection menu and the part? Just something to make the selection menu connect with the weapon itself.

NO PLEASE I BEG YOU, NO MORE MANUAL POSITIONING OF VGUI ELEMENTS PLEASE I BEG YOU There are a total of 42 weapons in the 'Extra' pack and having to set up position modifiers for each weapon is hell.
