lua coded world portals

i was looking about youtube when i found this

seems like some guy found a way for fake world portals to be made using lua within gmod, it seems to work well too.

there are only 2 problems.
1. the video is a little old, so it was probably done on gmod 12, not 13, so im not sure if it is even possible anymore.
2. the uploader said nothing on how it was done. only in the commets he said that he used a lua script.

so i really have only 2 questions. is this still possible? and how does one do this?

I saw someone make a Magic Box, which seemed to create a "fake world". I'd suggest searching around for it, hope this helps.

I found them, it was remade by someone else, but it works. Thanks for the help.
