• PERP 3 - Vehicle Vector Lighting.

Hello, Just looking for some general advice please. I've been playing of a PERP3 Server for a while now, and I have always wondered how the Lighting system for the vehicles works. I know it is something to do with vectors and such but could someone explain to me the process of taking like a TDM Car model and adding some Headlights and Tail-lights + Police Bar lighting for a cop car? (Just an example) Would appriciate it if someone assist me on how to do this, and I know most people don't like PERP but yeah.
It's not that we don't like PERP. It's that we, the community, do not support warez. PERP is a private game-mode and unless you have a valid license from the copyright holder, no help will be given.

It's because we only like the original PERP that Pulsar Effect hosted itself. All this PERP3, PERP3.5 and PERP5 shit is what makes the gamemode shit, but when you think about it, they're still pretty shit.
I have no clue what the 2 above posters are talking about, they are probably just ranting and never read the post. the PERP car models by default have lights, all PERP does is attach an entity that is activated when you press the key. from there, multiple sprites / sound emits are done within the entity, and that said entity is attached ontop of the correct car in the correct position when it is spawned by the NPC. (and wrong section btw)

Pulsar Effect was a community led by hunts. hunts did a great job but after a lot of DDOS's & hacks from Exiled Servers, they decided to give up. From the attacks Exiled got the script which is now being leaked. The sad thing is that it was the only RP server that worked out (on the serious server). Now the 'PERP' gamemode is just being used as a alternative to DarkRP.
Exiled never ddosed Pulsar Effect, individuals FROM exiled Perhaps... The gamemode was leaked by a guy called BlackFur after he was hired to fix up PERP and didn't get paid. Exiled used the gamemode after it was spread among a chosen group of people, I assume Sadistic being included. Pulsar Effect died because Exiled had a better coder. Ontop of all this, apparently the PERP was stolen from DarkLands to begin with. Everyone hates PERP because it was horribly 'coded' ( if you call it coding ) by hunts who stole credit from BlackFur, DarkLands and possibly more people. People hate PERP also because its mass produced by 5 year old kids who ask 20 questions and can't seem to figure out at least one by themselves. I'm pretty sure that's a lot more accurate. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Exiled did not have a "better" coder. PERP exists because hunts played DarkLand once and said "shit I can do better than this" and wrote PERP. BlackFur was a stupid moron who had nothing to do with the creation of PERP - he just sat around being a furry and getting the gamemode leaked.
I looked through PERP once and died a little inside when I saw that they were using panels to draw things to your screen by overriding the PANEL.Paint function instead of just using a HUDPaint hook.

Well this escalated quickly..
