I've done a bit of google searching but can't find a reliable way to do this. While changing the agenda name would be doable, I want the /addlaw command to actually add a law to the laws.
If you don't know already, DarkRP has an Agenda in the top left of the screen, for Mafias, government, etc.
I would like this same thing to be made for laws, either using a new laws system or the one provided along with DarkRP, the mayor should be able to /addlaw and /removelaw as usual but have each newly added/removed law appear in the top-right of the screen
How exactly can I go about doing this?
Thank you for your time,
Andy.

Anyone got any ideas? I really need this done for tonight, got 5 hours before I have to go.
just take it from darkrp. just remember to give credits
If you didn't read the thread, I'm looking to have the laws be in addition to the agendas. Agendas are in the top left, I would like the laws to be in the top right, but for everyone.
Okay, it's Friday and I've got a bit more time. I would still like some information on how I can accomplish this.

too much hud will fill up the screen to the point where it gets annoying. what you want to do is creating an entirely new feature. To do this you will have to learn Lua. there is no other way but to use lua.

Find agendas. Copy. Paste. Move to the right. Change where it pulls the text from. But like FPtje said, you'll need to know at least basic lua for this.
This was made by somebody on facepunch and he posted it on a thread exactly like this, I take no credit at all, and I will give no instructions on how to install it. Anyways:

@ J.R: Thank you.
@ FTPje +/or BL00DB4TH: I've been looking through some Lua code and it seems simple. How can one get a start at Lua? I would presume just looking at it enough, changing things and seeing what they do? Maybe there's a Gmod/Lua coding beginner's guide?
Thanks again.
