Hello,
I’d like to introduce you to a website I’ve been working on, as part of a team. Our website is called Scriptspawn. ScriptSpawn is an online marketplace for, but not limited to, Source Engine scripts. We are currently in beta, yet highly functional.
Here are some of our key features:
Developers:
• The ability to create your own personal store page.
• The ability to submit free and premium content.
• The ability to add DLC and group your products.
• The ability to set timed sales for your products.
• The ability to request the addition of any game to our marketplace.
• The ability to set the maximum number of downloads for your products.
• Money from sales goes directly to you.
• Purchase notes.
• The staff is very active; review times will be rather low.
Members:
• An abnormally simple purchase/checkout system.
• Highly customizable profiles.
• Forums, for discussions.
• A reviewing system for the scripts.
• A system for discussing scripts.
• Clean and simple U.I.
We are proud to release this as experienced server owners and modders. We are not professional web developers; however, we gave it our best shot and will continue to do so. We are currently very active and constantly improving our site. Please leave any comments here, I browse FP daily.

Fixed.
The layout really reminds me of some other site.
Many of the color choices seem really bad, like:

The way pictures work here isn't good:

I can't imagine the script market for CS being big, and previous competitors to ScriptFodder failed, why wouldn't yours?(I mean have you put thought to it?)

Fixed, thank you for the input!
I wouldn't sell scripts on there, first its nowhere 'registered' like seen on Scriptfodder:
'Discord Studios Ltd. trading as ScriptFodder is registered in England and Wales (09206958).'
Plus it isn't 'secured' like HTTPS or so. Fix that & Get it registered, and it would be better already, because then I might would put trust in you handling the payments & the script serving.
Also the Login looks like 'basic' design, I recommend implementing Bootstrap & making a custom theme.
Also building the website with wordpress is a bad idea, since I've seen many exploits for workpress, and there are new ones every day. I would recommend coding it from scratch.

Gotta love that JS.
I swear people want scriptfodder to have a monopoly over the gmod script market.
We can all admit scriptfodder has absolutely trashy management.
You all act like scriptfodder was perfect when it first popped up and act like a bunch of gangbangers when a startup tries to join the market.
Competition is good.

This is cringy too.
It's a competition they are losing, thus SF has monopoly.

I agree competition is good. However it's a bit like Steam, Origin, etc. It's also nice to have everything in one place. But I'm all for people starting up projects if they know what they're doing.

You're right. Fuck them.

It would also be nice however for 'new' sites like Scriptfodder to receive a little support, but ONLY if they deserve it, and if they know what they're doing rather then just trying to make a cheap clone.

Seems to have been a problem with the favicon missing. It is now fixed.
Thank you for your input!

Nobody is going to pay twice for the same scripts.
One of the many reasons that I created this is that I am against monopoly. Monopoly is never a good thing. I also appreciate all the feedback. We will be getting an SSL soon.
Also, just to be clear, Scriptfodder is awesome. Yes, the management isn't the best, but it still is a good marketplace. We simply offer an alternative that caters to a wider audience, including people that can't dish out 15$ a month (if your product doesn't sell, you don't lose out!).

Monopoly means they got superior features and majority of clients - how can that NOT be good?
I love the announcements section, especially this announcement.
Monopoly means they got superior features and majority of clients - how can that NOT be good?
You seriously need this explaining?
They can create inflation. Since they can set any price they want, they will raise costs to consumers.
Since monopolies are the only provider, they can set pretty much any price they choose. This is known as price-fixing. They can pretty much do this, regardless of demand, because they know the consumer has no choice.
Not only can monopolies raise prices, they can also supply inferior products.
Monopolies are also bad for an economy because the manufacturer has no incentive to innovate, and provide "new and improved" products. This used to be true of cable companies. It was expensive to lay new cable, so residents had to accept the cable company's service and prices. However, disruptive technology is the worst enemy of monopolies. Dish TV, iPads, and Netflix has created a new type of entertainment service that doesn't rely on cable to deliver movies and TV programming. The same thing happened with land-line telephones.
Ripped straight from a simple google search. Enjoy

I believe you may be a bit misunderstood about monopolies. A monopoly is the exclusive possession or control of the supply or trade in a commodity or service (dictionary definition). What does this mean? It means that anybody who wants a certain script or addon has to go to Scriptfodder; there is no alternative. So what does that mean? Let's say Scriptfodder quadruples their prices. What can the user do? Nothing! There is no alternative, aside from making your own addons, a monumental task for most. With a little competition, Scriptfodder will have to keep competitive prices. This can only benefit consumers, because pricing will be more favorable.
But hey, maybe you're a bit biased because you're such a big part of Scriptfodder.
You use Steam right? That has a monopoly
You use Steam right? That has a monopoly
While Valve profit on it and don't fix their fucking webservers
You use Steam right? That has a monopoly
I actually get your point. Gaben isn't a fuck though. The SF "team" are, well. Do I need to finish that sentence? :v
You use Steam right? That has a monopoly
Well.. not really. There are other alteratives.
Seems like a good start, already getting some ScriptSpawn drama.
(tbh you should have used bootstrap instead of this "Divi theme")
But apart from the drama you still got:
