• huge lag spike at start of new map TTT

Hello guys when my server switches map and the round just starts the server gets a huge lag spike to the point you would think the servers crashing but then fixes after around 5-10 seconds. Is anyone else getting this issue or has anyone got it and found a solution as i can't figure out why its happening.

I get this issue when playing in singleplayer.
Is this with an extensive amount of players? say 30 or more.
I get this in single-player too, I had guessed it was something to do with the traitor / innocent / detective picking algorithm. Regardless, if I'm getting it on a unmodified version of TTT in single-player there's likely not much you can do about it.
Map change, or round start? Unless TTT code has changed greatly since i last viewed it then it shouldn't matter, the way it picks traitors is the same on both side. Now if you have 40 odd players TTT used to be resending so much information at the start of a round it could even snapshot players. This would be technically clientside lag, the server wouldn't really be lagging it's just the clients are being bombarded by info for a few seconds. Was annoying when playing rooftops as you'd end up flying off the roof due to it.
