Can you open a script in a different folder and if so how or is there a better alternative?
You just type the path to file. If you want to run a script in lua/stuff/client/, you'd just do
lua_openscript_cl stuff/client/script.lua - it should even allow you to autocomplete the path.
No outside the lua folder like garrysmod/maps
