So I recently modified my darkrp server into a thing where it is an open world type gamemode where you shoot anyone you want, nlr isn't a thing (same with rdm), you build base, build squads or a small army, loot bases, ect. Also there is a starter class system where you pick a Heavy, a slow and strong class with a machine gun. Raider, with good starting raid tools, Support, you give out ammo, Medic, you use the FA:S medic kit to heal yourself and you squad, Assassin/Sniper, you get a sniper. Every class starts with a Knife (DV2) and a M1911 pistol.
There would be an npc that sells guns too
Does this deserve its own gamemode, because im not gonna start the coding unless its worth it.
(Sorry about the post I made that got me banned, I though you could make the most troll-like threads there XD)

Idea name: Open World Combat
That would be fun, but naming it anything but darkrp will pretty much guarantee failure due to it being on the bottom of the list.
Yeah, that is why it is still darkrp
forget the "classes" or "jobs"
just limit people with a loadout; one primary weapon, one secondary, one tool, etc
let users mix and match all options however they personally wish, and whatever they choose impacts their characteristics
for example that minigun would lower your overall movement speed
Only you as the developer can determine a gamemode's potential worth, because you are the only one that has the exact vision of what you want and you're the only one that can make it just how you want it to be. I suggest if you personally think it's a good idea then you give it your all and never give up or get discouraged because the amount of work is ahead. Take it from someone that stays up 80 hours straight developing a Vape Nation gamemode that all friends say is going to be shit.
