What's the current trick to setting up a Garry's Mod server? (SteamPipe shit included)

Do you have to get HL2 and CSS content via the new Steamcmd tool and then the rest with Hldsupdatetool or what?
This isn't the 'current' trick yet because steampipe is still in beta for garry's mod. But I'm sure Garry will make a highly informed post on how to merge/create/setup a server on the new steampipe system when time comes.
Generally SteamPipe is SteanCMD and the rest is HLDSUPdateTool. There's some oddities like the L4Ds which use VPKs but are still on HLDSUpdateTool.
So for now, we just use HLDSUpdateTool even for CSS and HL2 content?

Are you sure about that? I'm only seeing "cssbeta" in the games list.
CS:S has moved to SteamPipe so that comes under SteamCMD. The HL2s are still only in SteamPipe beta so I think either will work (HLDSUpdateTool definitely will - but only for the non-beta) but you'll need the beta flag if using SteamCMD (assuming you can get the HL2 betas under SteamCMD).
I haven't tested this but as Bo said, use beta flags to grab the HL2 content. Also use a GMod beta tag to test the GMod beta with steampipe shit (assuming that's what you're asking about).
