• Cops and Robbers idea

Recently I've wanted create a different game mode for the community I play on and I've been pondering different ideas. Recently I've been thinking about doing a Cops and Robbers game mode. There were would do 2 sides the cops and robbers. The cops have to capture all the robbers and bring them to the designated jail spot. The robbers job would be to hide/ take out all the cops that are in the game to win. I would like further ideas on how I could enhance the gamemode.

If the cops catch all the robbers, there could be a end-round shootout to decide who wins. This would give robbers an incentive to being caught by the cops instead of it just being a plain gungame.

Heh, I'm actually already working on something like this ( small part of a larger game-mode though ) Emergency Lighting Demo: [url]http://www.twitch.tv/acecoolco/c/2357491[/url] I could sell you usage rights to a simpler version of my lighting system which still supports patterns, lights, brakes, etc and a bunch of cars already set up with light positions. In addition to a bunch of different HIGH QUALITY siren sounds I've already made for my Crime City game-mode. Add me on steam if you want.

Nice work, and I wasn't really sure what map size I would plan on using, but I think this would be great.
Feel free to add me on steam and we can work out a deal. I'm really busy until about the 23rd, but can talk for small periods in between, as I'm working on a huge transcription job. ( Took the agency a long time to give me another job after I turned down a $14,000 deal because of how much money someone else offered and never paid for custom work )

Made it back a few years ago, of course things were simple back then, haha. It'd be nice to see somebody expand the idea into something bigger than I had it.

There was a fun "Hunt the serial killer(s)" in Operation Flashpoint / Arma years back. When I finalize Crime City for Garry's Mod, and then for Arma 3, I'll put something like that in. I'm also going to do a full close-combat / hand-hand / hand-knife / knife-knife type combat with custom animations using quick reflex button pushes based on the build of the character. But yeah, Shiny, add me on steam and we can talk about a few things and some of the code I've already created will be going up for licensing soon so it'll be a quick and easy way for you to get your cops & robbers up quicker with some pretty aesthetically pleasing elements.

To me this sounds like a rip off of JailBreak gamemode
Another idea which I've planned which may benefit you too, which I'm doing in my game-mode is basically having houses have loot ( based on my treasure hunting feature in Crime City ). So, there will be big screen TVs, radios, game consoles, precious metals ( gold, silver ), precious stones ( rubies, emeralds, sapphires, opals, etc ), hard stones ( diamonds, not really worth anything but useful as a hard material ). So essentially in my Cops & Robbers, you go around to homes, break in and loot the place. The more you steal the more points you get. But, the more weight you're carrying, the slower you run and the easier it is for the cops to catch you. And, the more you're carrying, the more obvious you are. If you're just walking around with pockets full of precious stones / coins / currency you won't really draw any attention vs carrying a big screen to your getaway car / van. There will be NPC families, routines / schedules so you can case out a home and see when they come and go, etc. I'm not sure how long you're going to have each "round" but mine will be a "living dynamic environment".
