Need some sort of Idea to setup a StarwarsRP server. - Developers

Hi, I wasn't sure where to post this so I posted it in this. I need some ideas to help me setup a StarwarsRP server, I recently just converted my DarkRP server into a StarwarsRP server and I need to know what sort of jobs I need, what sort of addons would suit the server, what should my HUD and F4 menu be like, I also know that to get to a higher job you need to complete training and the way servers are stopping people from becoming a higher job before training is using a whitelist system. I have found one on scriptfodder but I don't want to pay for any addons at the moment as I have already bought a lot of addons for my darkrp server.

I hope you like vague advice. There's already about 100,000 star wars DarkRP servers out there and they're enormously popular. Do everything you can to not be a worse version of them. They tend to focus around the movie aspects of the game. Why not have yours take place on Tatooine or Coruscant? The Star Wars universe has a lot more than just clone wars ranks and regulations. Set your server 1,000 years before the prequels or set it on a distant planet or really anything other than directly around the movies or TV shows. Additionally, avoid jobs like "Darth Vader" in favor of jobs like "Sith" and "Jedi" so that players can make their own characters and don't just roleplay in someone else's shoes.

Make something unique. Bring something new to the table. For example, you can use old regiments or stuff like that, but change up the play style of the events. Currently, Star Wars RP has a LOT of downtimes which is quite boring. Bring some action into the clone troopers for example. I agree with a1steaksa, make people create their characters instead of forcing them to play as one. My opinion though I'm very annoyed with seeing mostly the same types of SWRP servers.

Hey lad, If you wanna do a greeat server: get Nutscript. It is bloody awesome for RP. I am also doing my own SWRP Server (WIP) and it is quite fun. Customize all: do not follow SW Lore 100%; Make it 24/7 fun.

Also how would I use NutScript, do I remove the DarkRP gamemode because atm my server is showing up in the starwarsrp category in the servers list because I have modified the darkrp files to make it do so.

I suggest using TFA's Star Wars Mega-SWEP Pack and his HUD. High-quality content for free on the workshop, it's a start.

Star wars RP is massively over saturated. If you want to make your server financially viable you need to either sell admin to all the kiddies and mom's credit card or you need to make your stick out. To stick out you need to do something different, something new and fresh.
