Where to start in GLua for coding a GMOD Dayz server

I'm not quite sure what server slots has to do with learning Lua but maybe I've misunderstood you.

There are also various YouTube tutorials which some people seem to like now made by people like Code Blue etc, just give it a simple search.

There is of course the wiki which has all the functions and other documentation you'll need to make addons

Asking how to learn Lua is the right question, once you're confident enough you can make your custom addons for your DayZ server or whatever else you please.
