We currently need someone to develop some sort of Jailbreak gamemode!
and if possible fix a bug with TTT where occasionally at the stat of rounds people spawn where they were in spectate mode, this means they probably spawned in a wall or outside the map etc. and we have to teleport them out!

Check out http://www.coderhire.com or the hire thread ( http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1269027 )
For your TTT spawn issues, you need to edit the text files where the spawn locations are set. The best thing to do, is use the weapon placer tool ( which should support player spawns as well ), and re-arm all the maps, and re-do all the spawn points ensuring you have enough for everyone, and then some.
That tool can be obtained from http://ttt.badking.net
I do custom coding for about $60/hour; basic usage rights included in that price. If you want, feel free to pm me and let me know what exactly you want in a game-mode and I'll work up a quote for you.
If you are running a community correctly, You shouldn't have the need to ask for help outside of your community.
It is extremely rare that a coder will do work for free, And especially for a community that is not very well known. Why don't you wait a bit, Get a good community going, And people from your community will apply for a developer status. Either that, Or do what Acecool has said.
There are many talented people who can help. unfortunately, Chances are they won't do it for free. Put some cash a side (I would say 120$ should do it) for any work you need doing, And post a job offer.

holy shite you charge more than i do, and i thought i asked too much.
You must pump out some good shit for those dollars.
I do make exceptions. I did a big job for a community at around $20 / hour, 500 hours ( A lot of it was research, design, development and time-consuming data-entry, dev-tool creation, etc etc. ). The problem was they never paid fully, slandered my name, stole my code by removing my copyrights and claiming they wrote it ( breach of the use, no show, no modify contract; they could've requested other rights for additional fees ), etc. ( The $60/hour price is base usage rights ). However, to make up for not fully paying ( They didn't steal my work yet; they waited until I left due to health reasons to do all of this ), they promised to let me use their dedicated server environment to test my code. I was skeptical at first, but then took them up on their offer. I didn't upload everything of mine, and thank god! They stole everything, removed my copyrights on that, started integrating it into their game-mode claiming they wrote it. Launched a smear campaign against me, etc. Locked in a legal battle against them right now. All the gears are moving into position to take them down.
I've been coding most of my life, have been building my name for the better part of 20 years. I specialize in a lot of areas of coding/logic. I've released a few titles, and I'm bringing one back ( Operation Flashpoint Crime City; Arma Crime City, Arma 2 Crime City ( stopped due to Arma 3 announcement ); Arma 3 Crime City SOON - waiting on JAVA API and Crime City for GMOD as I've written so much Lua based on OFP:CC Code from 2001, it'd be a shame for it to go to waste.. )
I do make deals for people just starting out; I extensively QA all of my work; plus I offer a great guarantee and will service it, and do perform routine updates.. So, if you're looking for a quality game-mode made from the ground up, let me know. If you just want a few small things done, feel free to contact me.
holy shite you charge more than i do, and i thought i asked too much. I say this not only because this Acecool character wants to charge this guy $60/hr for lua scripting, but also because of the way he generally speaks (throwing around copyright bullshit for garrysmod scripts, talking formal and proper in a similar manner as if he was professionally representing a big business, etc). In other places, he and his Hellzone friends tend to threaten legal action and other similar things. It's pitiful honestly, but I guess the internet is host to all types of odd people.
OP, go to coderhire, I am sure you can get in contact with a better coder there.
I'm not in HZ any longer, I left for health reasons and killslick turned around and started flipping out, making up lies and smearing my name around ( I have all the proof, legal action is being taken against him for Felony Cyber Bullying, Criminal Harassment for illegitimately contacting personal friends and spreading lies, copyright infringement, and more... ). They're the ones that stole MY work and a lot of other peoples work. I in no way condone that behavior, and had I known about them stealing others work in the past I wouldn't have stayed with them as long as I did. It seems as though everything killslick "stood for" is all a lie. He openly admitting to having certain "tools". He wanted to apologize to me for flipping out and spreading rumors, but while I was at a doctors appointment he flipped even more. I've been going to more and more doctors appointments for not only myself, but the rest of my family. My grandmother isn't doing any better; and he couldn't accept the fact that I needed to take care of family and myself first.
But, we're getting off topic. I am a business owner and I am more than fair with how I treat people.

Couldn't you just sue him for Slander?
I own a relatively large business and I don't talk like I have my own hand up my arse.

Yet you entered a thread just to say that you owned a relatively large business.

Sorry, but all professional coding is big business, or at least worth a good chunk of money for the time, and definitely fully copyright protected if you know ANYTHING at all about copyright. If you know anything about HZ, you know KS is taking at least a solid 4-5 figures every month so yea, GMod IS big business. Just ask MacDGuy about all the money he's been pocketing for a half year since the yogscast effect. He tried to conceal the 10s of thousands he made over those 2 months by keeping the "donation" counter stuck whereas previous months it actually worked. Only now some months later he changed it to some bullshit $3120 (the previous $650 or whatever was BS too) amount and you can clearly see they make well over that off of mostly $15 contributions. Considering HZ doesn't only have $15 flat, they have to be making a lot more being the #4 or so server with a 50 daily average. It's actually pretty sick how GMT says "we need your help" and the counter resets to 0 every month disregarding the overages they took in to try and win pity and pocket yet more money. I even talked to one of their main coders and he drank their coolaid. I asked how much he makes and he says no one gets paid, they do it for nothing and don't want anything. I then explained how stupid that is and how they let MacDGuy pocket money off their hard work and how their own donation page and TOS even states it goes to "the developers" or whatever the exact words are. The coder then disagreed and said it doesn't say that, yet there it is in plain english, "Note: All donations go towards supporting the project and its developers." MacDGuy must be the leader of a cult like KS because they both have their people convinced that they don't make much and thus don't need to properly pay anyone.
It's people like you who don't understand copyright law or the fact that some people in GMod actually understand professional programming and more than deserve a minimum of $20/hr for their work. (even if it is "just lua")
Believe it or not, Garrysmod doesn't only have 12 year olds running around copy pasting everything and making stupid mistakes. Some of us came to Garrysmod from real world programming jobs and saw it as something fun, rewarding, and also somewhat lucrative with all the demand for original, high quality coding.
In fact, Garrysmod is SO big business that people who can't produce high quality steal it, hack it, or just plain DDoS with huge amounts of bandwidth to take down competition so they can be the only one to collect all the money.
I do know what copyright is, I'm just saying it's almost cute to talk about copyrighting Garry' Mod Lua. Not a single 'lawsuit' has ever been filed and no matter how many empty-threats you make - you ain't going to influence shit. Scripting for Garry's Mod and being paid is a whole other world.
You argument is silly - did you enter this thread just to make a joke? It goes both ways.
I didn't mean to say that you don't make money coding for gmod (though I have my doubts that KS manages to bring in 4-5 figures a month), I merely made that post to tell acecool and others with similar attitudes that I think they take themselves too seriously. Yes, coding is a well paying job. However, it matters about what you're coding. I don't think anything you could possibly make in gmod is worth $60/hr, especially since I can't watch you to make sure you're not being slow on purpose to take my dime. Even $20/hr is pushing it in my opinion. If I decided to work at a big business or corporation, then yes I would expect those wages. As a freelance coder for gmod? No, are you kidding me? Unless this is some big server that's raking in these 4-5 figures a month you speak of, charging that much is outrageous for such a simple task. Flat rates, if anything, are what you should be charging for freelance work in gmod.
That's why I gather all the details and give you a price beforehand. I'm not going to run up a bill for no reason. You need to tell me what you want, in detail, and your budget. We go from there.
It's not about copyrighting the Lua, it's about copyrighting the work, the intellectual property ( algorithms, logic, design, etc.. ). For example, I've taken code ( from a design I made years ago ) I wrote years ago from Operation Flashpoint, converted it to Arma, then to Arma 2, and then to Garry's Mod. Logic is universal. How it's integrated is another. Garry's Mod GUI calls are different than that of Arma / OFP. Front end will look different, but the back-end will function the same.
Being a developer isn't about writing the code. It's about sitting down and designing something; from scratch. That means designing each aspect of how something will work, how will something communicate, how will the database work, how to the tables link together; designing every little detail. Once you have something designed, it's then represented in code.
You can code what you want right off the bat, but it's better to make a design; that way you can see repetitions, and design functions and classes to adhere to what the application calls for.
The research and development in whole is what goes into it, and that belongs to the developer as intellectual property. The code, which is the representation of that design ( also belonging to the developer ) is then licensed for use.
SirPloxy hasn't contacted anyone, have they? First and last post?

He probably got scared off by your $60/hr offer. :P
Anyway, I understand what you are saying and your justifications for what you are saying. I still think trying to enforce a copyright with a gmod script is bullshit.
It's not the whole copyright thing that I think is rediculous though, it's how you just seem to toss around legal threats to pretty much everyone who upsets you in some way. It makes you look like an obnoxious cunt with a big ego. Even if you weren't so crazy with lawyers, threatening legal action to some 15 year old kid who took part of your uber-secret gmod algorythm to use on his server is downright rediculous. I only think you should "sue" Killslick because he is a bigger douche than you appear to be.
I give out quite a bit of small things to people without charging. A lot of my friends on Steam ask me for help all the time, and I help them here and there, no problem.
I include the "rights included portion" to show that there are options, not to threaten. If he thinks his idea is worth retaining 100% rights to his idea and my implementation, he's welcome to ask me about that. I'm always willing to work something out. He posted as a job request, I responded with options such as CoderHire and the Hire Thread before including my normal job cost info.
Yes, I've already started the proceedings against killslick for everything he's done. The chances for me to go after someone is slim and they really have to do something against me ( such as removing my copyright and claiming they wrote it, slandering my name, etc... ). 99.9% of the time I will work with you which showed when killslick breached the original agreement, I gave him a restricted use agreement, which he also breached before he started slandering my name etc.
There are about 5 others who've had code stolen from them who are also starting their own proceedings against him. He apparently likes taking other peoples work when he has no permission to do so.
I'm really not a "cunt" and I don't have a "big ego". I just protect what is mine. I help people on a daily basis with Lua questions, or by helping them finish things without charging them.
