help, im trying custom models such as my TF2 persona, when i try to load them, it crashes, or crashes with a C++ Runtime error window, am i missing something?
lol tf2 personas.
custom models need to be recompiled for sfm using the studiomdl build shipped with it.

Holy cheese, it works! thank you :D
I'm gonna be the one to ask:
Why do you have a tf2 persona?
Also, glad to hear that you got it working.
Quick question because there's this thread already, anything compiled with the included studiomdl would go to the usermod folder, correct? (in \game\)

original character do not steal!!
What about models that are not your own, models that I don't have a decompiled files of or the QC. Any way to get them working? Does anyone know what makes them crash in the first place?
Some models work, some dosent.
F.Y.I. I'm trying to use some custom models that I copied over from my garrysmod directory.

Well I got guitars from guitar pack for GMod to work, so it is possible. Important thing is you need to compile them back with SFM's StudioMDL

I'm 99% sure that it's flexes (facial animation capabilities) causing it.

Yeah I guess so, I noticed that all props I've tried importing works, and the only ragdolls that works are thoes without a face. So its probably somtething with thier faces. Thats sad. I'll shoot away a bug report.
I tried some models that wasen't faceposable in G-mod. Some worked while some diden't. Very strange. (None of the models were eye posable either.)
Hehehe, How ironic that the low-res of the DoD:S player models is for once a good thing, they don't have any facial animations.
