Hello!
First off, I'm really new to this SFM stuff, especially when it comes to getting gmod (and various other game) maps into SFM.
I tried to do three versions of this map: cs-suburb-beta15a_in-gmod -- ttt_suburb_beta15a -- suburb house
First all I did was drop the bsp into the Usermod maps folder, and it worked fine, except the lighting (HDR?) was all screwy. I was told I should use bspsrc to decompile it into a vmf and put it into Hammer to turn on the HDR. Though I hit a snag.
When I run it, it tells me:
For your information, 1 solid(s) were not loaded due to errors in the file. Would you like to Re-save your map with the invalid solids removed?
If I hit no I get:
hammer.exe has stopped working.
If I hit yes I get:
File, line 1: Permission denied then after a moment I get hammer.exe has stopped working.
I've tried the bsp version from garrysmod, and also the gma version (after turning it into a bsp using GmadConvGUI), and I keep getting the same error.
I posted this before and have tried to work with this again over the past few months, but still.. nothing. I'm at a loss and any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Try using bspsource 1.3.9, for some reason later versions will produce vmf's that often give the invalid solids error.
