Welcome to the FacePunch SFM Animation Challenge thread!
The purpose of this thread is to identify particular movements, characters, and situations that are difficult to animate and then figuring out new ways to overcome those challenges.
How does it work?:
Once a theme has been chosen, the community has a set amount of time to make an entry (usually a week). Once the deadline has passed, the member who chose the theme will judge the entries and decide which of the entries matched up to the challenge the best. The winner will then choose the new theme, and the cycle continues.
Prizes:
... Okay there are no prizes technically, but you will get that warm fuzzy feeling that you get from beating everyone else :).
This week's theme is, changed to: "Running" Feel free to animate with anything from TF2 models to a turret (Zachariah), once the time's up (Sometime around monday) I'll judge the entries, and the winner will pick the next theme, and judge that.
NOTE: Thread idea, and majority of text, blandly stolen from BiM, http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/topic/4249/animation-challenge/, feel free to go there for challenge ideas.
Why not starting in perfectioning a raw sequence first ?
I dont like your idea, seriously who's gonna use the ice skating for moment ? Wait december for this.
I propose a more simple animation if you want to start from scratch, sitting, jumping, walking, something like this.
I like the concept btw.
But he has to be more general for the moment I guess.
EDIT : "Running"
Interesting, just have to find if I can loop a run animation without using another log :3
