Valve animations on different model sets?

I downloaded a reskinned Spy model off Gmod.org for use in a video and as expected, I couldn't import any animations sequences of Valve's in-game TF2 animations for it. Stuff like the running animation or taunt animations. I did a bit of playing around but I couldn't get anything to work.

Is there any way to take the animations of the original TF2 models and make them work with reskinned TF2 models imported into SFM?

Why not just export the textures instead of adding a whole new model?

yup

it's just the suit recolored to black, you could even do that yourself if you wanted to

+ whoever did the model files probably fucked it up if you can't load anims

Because I'm dumb when it comes to that sort of thing. How would I go about doing that?

just copy and paste the vtf file from the skin and replace the current spy texture, if i'm correct
