The subtitles were awkward. There's really no easy way to say it.
I totally understand why you chose to go with them, though. Truth be told, I've considered using subtitles over silence like done here many times, but I've always chosen not to, because of how awkward that is. Instead, I've tried to write stories than can be told without words. It's not an easy chore haha.
That being said, everything is well-done. There were a few walk-cycles (mostly the one where he's first walking to the calendar) which were pretty bad, but I can hardly fault you for that - I can't do walk-cycles to save my life. I honestly consider them one of the hardest things to animate. :v:
