• Lipsynching doesn't work? Import audio, show wavforms, select face of ragdoll, extract phonemes?

So yea, I did all the steps in the title and it doesn't work. I even tried using sound from the sfm itself from dr kleiner and it still didn't work... I was making a video of talking and then I hit a ragdoll from hl2 but it doesn't work? Are there certain selections I am suppose to hit to make it work? Or is it a new version glitch?
HL2 models use an older facial animation system. You have to enable a "use FACS for phoneme extraction" but I don't remember where that option is...

Animation set 'gman_high1' missing preset group 'phoneme'

Right click on the model that's not lip syncing and click "Show in Element Viewer" then "Animation Set" Now look for "presetGroups" and expand that by hitting the + icon. You should see three groups called Emotion, Phoneme and Viseme. My problem was that only Emotion was there and the model would not lip synch since the phoneme sliders were non responsive. So what I did was select any model that could lip sync, in my case I selected the medic. Go through the same steps I've already mentioned and you should see the Phoneme and Viseme groups there. Now right click on phoneme hit "Export Element" and save it on your computer wherever you'd like. Do the same for viseme. Now go back to the model that won't lipsync, make your way back to the animation set and right click on "presetGroups". Hit "Import Element" and select the phoneme and viseme elements you just exported. It should work now.

Thank you everyone. All I had to do was right click the gman_high.mdl in the element viewer and create hl2 facs controls for it, hopefully emotions work too
