New to SFM, Problem with setting volume to game sounds. Please HELP.

I'm following the tutorial of Source and at number 03; sound. I'm trying to set the sound level lower for the game sounds such as the bazooka shooting noise but it doesn't change. even if I mute the game sounds. Also, in the video, I can see that the guy has 18 game sounds whereas I have 78 none of which are bazooka sounds just footsteps even though I am definitely launching rockets. Ive looked in many places but I can't seem to find the answer. I can't really progress now, If anybody could help me would be great .

alright, so what is the problem? you want to make sounds louder or the sounds you want arent even showing up?
