Hello there people of SFM community, today I'm going to share three videos and a little background on how I made them. I've been using SFM since the day I got it in July and apparently top videos is this: It took me about an hour to make on an August day after I saw that video of the turret dancing around. I guess people have a soft side. The next video I made was this one for Turret Week that included a reference at the end to the first video. This is my second most popular video and that's probably because of the fact that the Open SFM Community featured it in a large playlist. This final video puts an end to the ongoing love story between the sentry buster and the turret and a surprise conclusion. Now I realize that the animation and quality of these videos pale in comparison to some of the others out there, but what they really show is how much I have grown in terms of my use of SFM. The initial video was some basic graph editor motions and basic lighting. The second video improved upon the lighting and was mostly a test in seeing how many characters I could fit on the screen. There was still quite a bit of premade animation from Valve and a few basic graph editor stuff. The final video was a major step up as I animated the sentry and other characters using exclusively the graph editor. This video took up the majority of the time and was a definite improvement in terms of my animation skills and lighting. I still have quite a ways to go but I'd say as someone who has not had any training whatsoever in animation and only 1 year of using the program, it turned out pretty well. I hope you enjoyed the videos as much as I did creating and I hope to make better videos in the future.
