• How to port PAYDAY 2 Models?
    10 replies, posted
Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone here might know how to port the models from PAYDAY 2 over to either Gmod or SFM. I've extracted the folder contents of the game, and I have the model files in front of me, however I don't know how to actually make them into files recognizable by SFM, nor do I have any idea how to port them in a way that will not corrupt it. This is a request, so there are 2 options here: It can be done for free or I will buy you any game you want on Steam (Account Verified), up to a $45 USD value, or several cheaper-priced games to match that price. If you are able to do this and are interested in the reward (or if you are so kind as to do this for free), my request is as follows. Those underlined and bold are of highest interest: - Special Units (Taser, Bulldozer, Shield, Cloaker) - Police Units - *maybe* Civilians - Weapons - Vehicles (Police Cars / vans, helicopters, SWAT / FBI Vehicles, etc.) - Armor (Can be seen here) If you've got any questions, please let me know! Also, if this thread has been started in the wrong spot, I apologize - It's been quite a while since I've logged in here.
I've had some PAYDAY 2 models in the works for a few months, I've just had them on hold temporarily. But I've got the Taser, blue SWATs, and Cloakers done, with 2 heisters in the works (the rest to follow). Everything but the heisters work in Gmod as of now, if anyone wants to try them out before I can complete all these and release them, feel free to drop me a line. Oh and I also have a "PAYDAY 1 styled" Hoxton model.

Awesome, will you be doing the FBI HRT in the future?
Yup, I plan to.
Will you port the masks too? If not, is there a guide to port masks to other games?
Will you port the masks too? If not, is there a guide to port masks to other games?
I want to try and port all the masks, but whether I end up doing all of them or not is still debateable. I'd rather get the characters, enemies, and guns first.
What program/method would I have to use if I want to rip certain masks?
Best thing to do is use Ninjaripper or something similar to get the models. However these programs rip the textures really, really dark, so you have to use Umod (originally known as TexMOD) to extract the textures. I'm not really sure if you can put paint and decals on masks from the game though, only way to do that, to my knowledge, is to recreate the styles on the texture itself and make the required speculars and apply the right shaders.

Is there anyway to convert the .rip files into something that can be imported into Blender? I don't have 3DSMAX.
Are those going to be released someday? Since i got Payday 2 i've only been wanting to make some sfm pics or vids with those.
