So it started when it kept saying missing .dll
It would refuse to launch and it would come up with a prompt saying it is missing the dll.
I scoured the internet, verified cache files, cleared download caches, restarted computer, redownloaded countless times, etc.
I found a factory reset file in the gmod folder and used it. Now All it says instead is that there is an update that cannot download because a prompt saying this will come up:
"An error occurred while updating Garry's Mod (missing update files) :
C:/Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading\4000\bin\tier0.dll"
Please help, i have spent days trying to fix this and i'm not sure whether i made it worse or better. This is also a game i spent alot of time playing, and I'd hate to lose it

What part of AV tho I don't know what to fix or change or even why my AV would affect it in the first place, and if it's just AV how did it affect a large quantity of people?
Nothing from my AV really. It hasn't blocked or restricted anything from what it seems - i have AVG
