What can I post here?
- There are no rules or requirements for the content of the images you post, other than that you made them. Moving images should go here.
- Nudity is allowed, but use some discretion with anything more than that. Use [url] tags instead and leave a small warning.
- It helps if you can explain a bit about your work, but it is not required.
- Remember to give helpful criticism, you should include ways for the other person to improve their images.
- Challenging opinions are welcome, but this thread is intensely personal and subjective - use some tact. 
- Host images to imgur or flickr to increase permanence, and not use up smaller sites' bandwidth.
- Smartphone images are still allowed
- Generally try to keep images from exceeding 1024px wide, 800px preferred. [img] and [media] are full sized, while [t] tags will thumbnail your image to stop the page from stretching!

I guess so. Just a pointer about product photography, you generally don't want harsh undiffused light. Try to use a scrim or softbox to soften your light.

Is there a difference between a scrim and a translucent reflector?

One is a sheet with a frame required, the other is collapsible.

Otherwise, I'll just go with 5 in 1 reflector.

Something I think I've always struggled with is outdoor, and specifically landscape photography in general. What is the general technique? For me either the sky is overexposed or my ground/subject is too underexposed. Should I shoot my exposure according to the sky, and try to recover the details from the dark?

experiment. film generally had more latitude in the highlights so you could find a good middle of the road exposure. digital is way less forgiving in highlights but works better with shadows, depending on camera. a canon 6d for example can hold two stops of detail in a good shadow.

I generally shoot to the foreground, and then recover for the sky, usually in raw highlights can be retrieved. Otherwise, you could get a graduated ND.

Or take 2 exposures if you're on a tripod. One of the sky and one of the foreground, and stitch them as a HDR in lightroom.

I managed to do some darkroom printing today. I spent most of my time printing some pictures for a friend, so didn't get to do as many of my own as I would've like, and I'm looking at my now dry contact prints thinking "aah, I should've definitely printed that one". Ah well, always next time.

This was the last one I did, the small amount of developer was starting to go off. The print sort of failed, but I still love how much detail there is.
