• Warning when bumping old threads

It's a common issue that old threads are bumped, and the poster who bumps it is banned. Usually because they didn't know better, or maybe didn't realize how old it was on accident. Other posters will then post some more in the newly bumped thread, because they're under the impression that it's a new thread - which may get them banned as well. I propose a warning system for old and/or inactive threads in certain forum sections. This is probably most relevant for news sections. If a thread is X days/weeks/months old, you will get a warning when trying to make a post in it. Something like: "WARNING: This thread is X days old and has been inactive for X days. Do not bump old threads without good reason" A "Good reason" can of course be something like a new and relevant development to whatever the thread is about.
This reminds me of one of the first communities I joined, BlameThePixel. The method there was a simple sentence after the last post, near the quick reply box, stating that the thread was however old(2 weeks there if I recall). It was subtle, but it seemed fair and effective. Incidentally, that site had a currency system too, like, seventeen years ago. My life is repeating itself. Are we going to be able to spend our coins on handmade isometric pixel art homes I an isometric neighborhood?
Could also do an auto-report to the mods if a necromantic post is X characters or fewer. Bumps of relevant information tend to be at least medium sized, certainly longer than "looks good!"
Could basically just have a post-pending feature
