Alternative title: Gods look down on the battlefield
The lighting is really nice on all the metal armor. But I'm so intrigued about the posing of all the characters on this battlefield. From a small distance or first glance, it seems like they are definitely fighting but when you look closer its almost like the fighting started a second before the "picture" would've been captured. Like no gunshots barely anyone in the picture is swinging a sword or other melee weapon. I can't even really put my finger on it, thats just some really intriguing posing and a nice picture as well.
i'm looking at it in a gothic/renaissance sort of way - it portrays battle in a manner that's overly dramatic and static, everyone has been put into a pose that says "HEROIC COMBAT" instead of actually giving off a real sense of dynamic motion, and i think that fits the pic's theme and lighting/color choices
Im glad you see what I mean. You even explained what I was probably trying to say better . I'll be looking at this photo as reference for not only lighting but poses as well.
