Hi guys. Anyone else think that it should be possible for a player to remove certain parts of their base way after its been built and upgraded?
I know the argument has been that if a raider then gets your TC he'll be able to just remove all your walls, but this doesn't need to be the case.
As with heli's always targeting the original builder of a base even if he's de-authorized, why not allow only the original builder to remove walls while wielding a hammer? Refund a little of the upgraded cost.
This mechanic should make more sense now with the new TC system, because if you've built too big and you now realise that maintaining your base will kill you then you should be able to remove certain aspects of it to ease your burden.
Also, please add a half-height pillar and re-add the corner pillars. They were great for aesthetics and could be used to better the stability throughout your base without the irritation of pillars being right in your face when you open a door.
Much love, guys!
I think this would be nice. It's a real pain to have to pick-axe your own wall if you want to change something about your base layout.
Corner pillars would be nice too. It's annoying to have the center pillars chilling in the middle of all your walkways. Lol
I like the idea but i see one slight problem when people can wall off their toolcupboard and tear the wall down when they need to restock it so i think it would need some more restrictions/disadvantages like not refunding cost and only being demolishable on the inside
Cloud makes a good point about the cupboard. Not that I am too crazy about this idea, as it might give large clans the advantage again... But, perhaps the solution is to disallow the removal of foundations/walls that are near the cupboard (essentially using a radius like the old system, except now it disallows the removal option). Again, this is just off the top of my head.
I also agree about the pillars. Having the OPTION to place them in corners again (maybe giving only 1/4 stability bonus while costing the same as a center post?) would be nice to get them out of the middle of the floor. However, I see the center post needing to be nerfed or having to choose between corners or center / not simultaneously used... balance, you know?
