I've always wanted to play Rust without guns, got a good feeling about this one.
As long as the game is set before the 14th century, They had guns by then, but they were crap, like an Eoka pistol.
14th century ? i thought this is more like a "fantasy" game not based on reality
Yeah same.,
World of Warcraft is another fantasy video game where everything is medieval based, yet they still have guns (Dwarves and pirates use them). I'm still pretty sure we won't have them but if we do, try to keep your mind open about it because they will probably be balanced so they don't overpower melee or magic.
I am going to stream this as well, i also think that even though guns were around, they shouldn't have them.
well Final Fantasy XIV is fantasy and that game has guns, but then they also have some high-tech stuff like Magitek armor so I guess that wouldn't count. But to see something like Magitek armor in Ruin would be awesome.
Can't wait for this, I want to wear a Houndskull helmet while charging across the fields blasting Powerwolf through my headset
I really hope there are different types of bows and maybe like 1 really crappy pistol because it would help for new players/if its like rusts weekly or monthly wipes then players can much more easily start midwipe.
A monthly wipe would be mad stupid. What's the point of farming days and weeks for legendary loot or levelling up your character if at the end of the month all your progress is deleted? And most medieval fantasy games still have guns. Has noone in this thread played any game other than Rust?
I don't mind bows and weapons like that... just really hoping for no op guns. Just imagine a base raid with mostly close up weapons only.

like different types of swords, knives and maces? would shields be a big part in it then?
Yes, also shields ;)
Let's just hope no typical helmets with horns, since Nordic people never even used them. That was something started by the opera.
Oh hey cool concept but I think it would be impractical.
Looks a bit like Hiccups flight helm in How to Train Your Dragon 2
I like it a lot! Did you make it?
