At the rate of development being done by this amazing team, when can we expect to see a release date? I know myself and others are extremely excited even with the progress we have now. Feel free to answer whenever.

Well a release date is after it comes out of Alpha and Beta. Do you mean 'When can we buy the game and try it out'. And i'm guessing late 2018. First of all once the base game is made with Deathmatch; Facepunch will sit back and admire their creation and make some plans. Guessing thats gonna take a few weeks. Then its all hands on keyboards, coding up more shit. I expect at that point Alpha will appear.
I doubt it will be released officially on steam or anywhere other than their site for a while, but possibly a really early paid access that devs and others could play and develop stuff for. The community could develop some of their game modes and stuff.
How big do you guys think this will be?
I say it gets a small following at the beginning, then when addons are being created youtubers will start checking the video out and then when servers are being created I think we will get a following. I'd say it would take a year or two to overcome Garry'sMod, but being realistic Gmod has already too much free advertisment that I think kids will still play it.
I think S&box will be blast at start because most of gmod players and new players know S&box and they will most likely buy it, then after couple of years population would drop little bit.Then you get normal player population flow.This is what I think of it.
I also think that it will have a massive following when its available for download. Gaming news websites will pick it up an it will be a headline, Youtubers will start cracking out videos. People will rush to buy it.
At this rate dev blog 7 is a myth...
Who needs a dev blog.... join the discord and you see the progress as it comes in. Almost daily we get screen-shots or a snip-it video. Also Layla sometimes talks about what's being done, other times just shits on valve.

I mean, I do not think that they have a release day for feeling that the devs may be pressured and or rush because there is a lot of hype behind this train that can propel a Delta V rocket to 2x the speed of light.
That may be true - but if there is a possibility to motivate Facepunch (money? :O) to add more staff to developement team (if its needed ) i would use it.
The thing is, the actual Screenshots look like a mixture out of Rust/Gmod Textures and floor reflections.
I just hope, that it is gonna be good. And i think i dont have to hope, its gonna be better than gmod is acutally.
I actually would spend money for that game if the only improvements were the mapping thingy and multi core support :P

It's not, downloading the game is £800, the price for actually playing it is still unknown.
