I bought Garry's Mod yesterday and I've been getting frame drop issues when playing multiplayer. I don't know why I lag in this game so badly but getting swarmed by hordes of zombies in Left 4 Dead 2 has less impact on my frame rate.
Am I the only one with these issues?
First HI your not the only one with this problem people always have FPS issues in GMOD.
Using these commands in console might help
console keys is | ` |
gmod_mcore_test 1
mat_queue_mode -1
cl_threaded_bone_setup 1
Also if your playing on a GMOD server
The server might have more entities then your computer can handle which means likes props,sounds,sprays,ETC.
now i have more problems .3.
the game keeps freezing to the point it's unplayable because I cannot Tab out or use task manager and my only solution is to sign out or restart
geez this is really stressing me out..
Can you post your specs and advanced video options?
What's your GPU?
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 and all my settings are maxed out. Even if i set everything to low I still lag
I'm using the same CPU and GPU as you i'm totally fine
