Since I've never seen a forum dedicated to teenage programming, I thought I'd make one.
Here it is!
Young Developer!
We're a very young forum, but we have a growing memberbase of teenage programmers and designers (A few Facepunchers too)
There's a strong bias toward web development right now, but we're changing our focus to the slightly more broad niche of teenage coding (all types).
We're also running a competition to win a variety of real-life prizes.
Come by sometime :)
I'd also love to hear any critique you may have.

Sweet
Nice.
Horrible name, it's probably going to be flooded with pedophiles if the site gets popular enough.
Try a different name, like Beginning Developer(s) or something.
Yeah. Pen Island much?
It needs a software development section. (C++, Java, Python, etc.)
I'm changing the forums tomorrow. As I said, we're shifting the focus away from web development.
Thanks for checking it out :)

Very messy post! Took me a few minutes just to find out what it was about.
Teenage programming forum? Is that like a bunch of people discussing which different bad words that you can spell with a calculator turned upside down?
But in all seriousness, it could really go really well, or turn into a shit-hole. At that age, programming experience varies greatly from person to person, and I know how jealous and unreasonable kids that age can get.
Also: That's kind of a stupid contest. The first person to 150 posts?
Be prepared for tons of shitposting.
I just scanned through the C++ thread in there. My god the stupidity.
Is this like little lamplight where we get kicked out and forced to go to the big people forum when we grow up?
Meh, it's an experiment.
@high
It worked nonetheless :D
@compwhizz
Hehe. Blame Advil0 for that...
@Jallen
What? The forum isn't restricted to teenagers, but that's the main focus. I'm hardly going to start banning folk when they "grow up".

Um... No it doesn't...
Good luck managing everything.
Interesting, but I like it here on the programming section.

That's a horrible name.
Young Developer sounds miles better than that.
Besides, what kind of pedophile gets off over inexperienced programmers?

Ah, delicious, little, innocent things... :love:

C++ is easy
I like it, might join. Might not :P
C++ is easy
I think it is. You don't?

Not compared to a lot of other languages.
Not compared to a lot of other languages.
its the most logical one in a lot of cases
Actually, it's a nice forum, it's like Facepunch back in 2005.
Not compared to a lot of other languages.
There's nothing particularly hard about C++ when compared to say, C++ or Java. There are a few quirks that a beginner may not understand (std::vector<std::vector<int>> v; giving a compile error, for instance), but the really hard stuff are things that you don't really use in your first programs anyway (multiple inheritance, template meta programming, etc.)
Of course, if you're comparing C++ to Python, it's a different story.

Depends on your definition of powerful.

Still, not every beginner is going to know multiple inheritance, template meta programming, etc.
So it wouldn't exactly be easy.
Im in!
