Why not just ask your questions here? It's a lot less annoying than having someone bug you every few minutes (trust me, I've offered mentoring like you're asking for before and it's been pretty stressful and annoying after a day or so of constant nagging.)
There are also a lot of people here with a diverse set of skills between us, so you're more likely to get a satisfactory answer out of us than out of a single guy (not to doubt anyone who would have added you, of course.)

Are you trying to learn lua and some kind of C++ library(with SDL, SFML, GLUT, or any graphics library or whatever), or are you trying to learn Gmod Lua?

He might want to learn the Lua syntax. Or how to implement Lua in his project. Or GMod modding with Lua. Or...
