Show loading bar until flash is ready, replace content with flash?

I'd like to have a loading bar (gif image) show up, while a flash movie is loading. Once the movie loads, it will appear where the loading bar was.
How would I do this?

no the flash doesn't have a pre-loader built in.
Like say a directory where people can see different flash animations, but they don't have preloaders in them.
