Hiring someone to make some MyBB Plugins - Developers

Heyo - posted advertising for this on reddit and thought it wouldn't hurt to ask my fellow Mug Punchers. I'm in need of two plugins for MyBB, and as such would like to commission them from a suitably skilled developer. The first plugin would integrate the popular gaming platform Steam into MyBB, allowing users to sing in through their Steam account and thus registering them with the forum, and furthermore replacing their user-bit (Avatar/post count etc.) on their posts with a Steam-styled banner (showing their Steam Avatar/they're online/offline status, what game they're playing etc). Example picture of the new avatar/username: [URL]http://steamsignature.com/profile/english/76561198119980777.png[/URL] The second plugin I'd like to commission is one that works in the same way as Facepunch's ([URL="http://www.facepunch.com/"]http://www.facepunch.com[/URL]) post rating system. When a forum member moves their mouse to the last (roughly) 10 pixels of a post, a row of different rating icons appear. They can then click one to rate that post with that particular icon, representing their feedback/opinion in relation to that particular post (i.e. Dumb for a silly post, or Helpful for a handy post). It wouldn't stop their though, as the user should then have a total of their Post Ratings they have receiver in their public profile. Thanks Dusty, I had seen that but I'd rather commission one from a developer that I can come back to for more work and features than use that plugin which seems (from the feedback) to be kinda half baked and a half effort. Oh, and yeah, a quota would be a good idea. Cheers.

I would recommend you using that plugin and maybe asking for Support on [URL="http://ForumVolt"]www.forumvolt.org[/URL]. Amey always answers back on no time and they have some MyBB Developers too. Also, if you are looking for someone to work (for free obviously) on some styling stuff you want let me know.

Also i do support them because i know some of them out of the Riping world and they are great guys. Don't get me wrong about me being with Leakers, i do belive that if you put stuff on internet you will obviously get Leaked. Is the same with Hackers, Xploiters, etc. You can't win them if they are Smarter than you to clean any track they may left and they have the abilities to Bypass anything they want. It's an Infinite war agains't smarter people, eventually we may evolve and get more security, but i bet you they will find the way aroud that system to bypass it.

Obviously things can get leaked because there are hackers, but that doesn't mean you should support them, and definitely not try to get them more activity on their forum.

It's saying that "hackforums is a good source to find out how to protect from DDoS attacks". It'll just get you involved with stuff you shouldn't support, which he does.

I know that Ringo (FV Admin) has good knowledges about MyBB and im recommeding him or any member of their forum with advance knowledges on coding and again i repeat. What's the problem then, it's your responsability to enter or not. I know they have some experience users who knows about MyBB and coding, i just found it related to MyBB and never asked anybody to download stuff from there, it's your own choice what you want to do with the site. You can always request Legit services and pay them to do the work. Edit: In case you have a problem with what i suggested, request a Moderator to review your case and let him discuss it with me. Otherwhise, stop talking about warez on a thread totally unrelated to warez.

Storing JSON in SQL isn't actually a terrible thing to do unless you need to search against the data. It's a hell of a lot faster to read some numbers from a single serialized JSON field than it is to read thousands of rows from another table.
