I was thinking of making an online strategy game for fun. My idea for the game was you upgrade your technology starting at the beginning of time going through until the future. So you would start throwing rocks until you are shooting lasers. The cool part would be each unit has its advantages and dis advantages. For example a bullet might beat metal armor but not Kevlar; Kevlar will not stand up against a sword. A laser might be very effective but reflect off of metal armor. All units will have their place, stone thrower cavemen might be incredibly cheap, and even if they are crap compared to a gun, and is able in mass to beat a gun man. Now before you think I am asking you guys to build it for me, I will do the php, html, and javascript (all the code), but I really need two people, a talented graphics artist, who can create icons and a theme without having to copy images from Google and someone good in history, to help me with the game content. I want the weapons to come in a historically accurate order. Also anyone willing to help out with testing or ideas is more than welcome. Send me your email address and I will send out updates and then you can send back any feedback, or just tell me what you think and would like below. I am doing this to learn, for free, with no budget. I cannot pay you, however your name will be put on it, in the footer, and if we finish it and add ad's you can have an even cut.

The point being that your pitch sounds super similar to Civ?
The point being that your pitch sounds super similar to Civ?
Aside from the merging of eras it's very dissimilar. If you’re trying to burst my bubble, http://ogame.org is the closest thing to it aside from the merging of eras; Ogame is futuristic.
Im not implying you shouldnt do it, just that its already been done before.
He's thinking of an ogame style game. I can be the history/content guy if you want :v:
I wish you luck with your stratagy game! Because it's quite complicated to do... but I guess that depends on your level of skill. ( still takes, as everything, quite an amount of work. )
I would like to point out... you spelled strategy wrong in the title...

Would be awesome if you could make a game like that, that doesn't include giants running around (Civilization) :D
