• Good Domain Registrars?

I'm looking to buy a domain or 2. Normally I'd try GoDaddy, but after the SOPA fiasco I think I'm definitely going to try and avoid them. What's a good registrar that's easy to register with and has good prices? And also, ideally provides an easy way to register domains anonymously (without your real personal info in the WHOIS of the domain).
name.com free whois with the code: FREEWHOIS or something. Let me find it again. [editline]14th February 2012[/editline] Yep thats it. [editline]14th February 2012[/editline] Also people say namecheap.com is good.
I second namecheap. And avoid GoDaddy at all costs.
People will probably booo me but from what I've seen customers turn to I would recommend 123-reg.co.uk They seem to be cheap with high availability. I would not however recommend there in-house hosting, seems to much of a rip-off.
123-reg have good deals but just make sure auto renewal is off. Otherwise you'll be charged automatically and domains aren't refundable
I use http://hover.com/ for most domains, but you can't beat http://namecheap.com/ on price.
I used to use 123-reg but they 'scammed' me once (I use the word loosely - More of my own fault) by auto-renewing a domain automatically via PayPal. I therefore moved over to Namecheap. Cheaper too!
Never used NameCheap myself but from what people are saying I think it would be advisable to go with them. I never have auto-renewal on anyway for any products I buy.
NameCheap is awesome. 'nuff said.

Name.com Use the promo code 'feedback' to receive a $9.00 COM/NET first year registration. *Offer expires noon MST 3/5/2012. Sorry for the 2 week bump, but if anyone is going to buy domain name.com has a great promotion code.
Namecheap :D Have 50 domains with them and get much cheaper renewals with secret GOLDDEAL coupon code :D
testdomainnameeee.com namecheap.com: $10.69 / year crazydomains.com.au: $ 7.00 / year I think I beat it :P
I heard crazydomains were horrible. Don't take my word on that though.
And avoid GoDaddy at all costs.
I have a bunch of domains at GoDaddy which I'm about to move soon, but I don't really see why you should avoid GoDaddy "at all costs". Sure, their page load times are long and their E-Mail adverts could almost count as "spam", but the service works.
I've always used Namecheap, and now have over 10 domains with them (and 1 at Name.com since Namecheap doesn't do .im). By the way, http://www.namecheapcoupons.com. Namecheap has monthly coupons and they are also doing some deal where if they get 10,000 new likes on Facebook by March 6th, you can register a .com/net for $1.99 for the first year for 24 hours (I think)
http://www.internetbs.net/ Cheaper than Namecheap
http://www.internetbs.net/ Cheaper than Namecheap
Has a fucking horrible web design though.
http://www.internetbs.net/ Cheaper than Namecheap
I personally think that even if something is cheaper than Namecheap, Namecheap still has a much easier control panel + their DNS updates much much quicker [editline]4th March 2012[/editline]
Has a fucking horrible web design though.
At least I'm not the only one who noticed
I can second www.gandi.net
Gandi can be expensive though
I heard crazydomains were horrible. Don't take my word on that though.
Horrible how? I registered a domain name with them, they let me change the name servers -- that was all I cared about, since then, I haven't needed to use them, or their site :P
I've used Dynadot all my life. I like them.
