I was wondering if it was possible to use DX9 with the latest SDK. My book teaches 9 and my school's computers only use 9. Does the latest SDK come with the files to develop for 9?
It does, yeah. With the current release of the DirectX SDK, you can use the latest version of DirectX9 if you so choose. There's no witchcraft or special tricks to it or anything. Any code samples from your book will compile as expected.
