A few weeks ago I posted a screenshot of my game to the June 2014 "What are you working on?" thread. I was happy to see a positive reaction to the game. Here it is! Paradrop is a simple 2D physics game, coded in Lua using the Love2D framework. I spent a little over 3 months developing it, and now I'm glad it's finally released. You control a paratrooper, and you need to land in a dropzone while avoiding explosions. your reddit post got deleted
your reddit post got deleted
Weird. At least the blog post is still there.
grats on release btw! :)
Really nice timekilling game, but there's one exploit. If you move to the left part of the screen, cannon won't be able to shoot you and you can land without any problems. [editline]12th July 2014[/editline] Also the lasers come a bit higher than a barrel.
Installed it, will test it soon.

I've been hearing about the exploit but I'm pretty sure you won't get more than 2-5 points with it, since the dropzone will move farther away and the wind will push you back. If it really becomes an issue, I'll fix it by increasing the range of the gun. I'll also try to get the tracers to align with the gun. That kinda bothers me too.

The gun sound effect is kind of annoying. Try stretching/shrinking the length of the sound by a tiny random amount. That's easy if you're using SoundPool. It's a fun little game. :)

Don't switch to JS! Lol, that damn language is crud, switch to something bad ass like C#. (This opinion was cross posted on Reddit.)

Fun little game but my god I'm so shit at it.

Downloading right now ! I'll test and post results :) [editline]2nd November 2014[/editline] Tested on a Moto G. I totally suck but looks very cool ! Good job !
