So, a friend and I have decided to spend all of tuesday night pair programming something.
But, of course, we're both stuck with coder's inspiration block.
Any ideas, guys?
Points of note:
no embedded stuff. iOS/Android phones we can do, but nothing beyond that (no arduinos or anything)
both of us are web developers with a good knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS/PHP, and C# too.
Ohhh I know! Work on this!

Write a game.
Don't do anything technologically intensive, sleep is required for that.
Papercraft model generator.
They already exist, but it's an interesting computational geometry and graph theory problem. It's nice for you, specifically, because you can do it in JS+HTML5 canvas and get easy printable output that you could put right on a webpage. AFAIK all the current programs are actual client software and not web services, which might be a niche it could fulfill.
Make a file loader.
Oh wait...
Oh yes. Similar situation here, I really want to practice my programming during my summer but I honestly have no idea what to program. It is frustrating.
You could write a compression algorithm.
