Help, make a template the correct way!

I made a template for my gaming community using photoshop and dreamweaver.

I exported from photoshop using save for web, on photoshop CS5. Anything I should do to make it the right way?

I am new to the website design, not new to photoshop, and php.

first of all dont use dreamweaver, its much better to write the code yourself.

Dont use the photoshop save as web function.. It will put your layout in a table, and tables are NOT meant for layouts, its meant for ... tables..

Use divs instead.
