Hello,
I want to learn programming, but I have no idea where to start. What I mainly want to learn is C#.
I know NOTHING about programming. I have totally no idea what resources to pick up, that includes programs and tutorials.
Please recommend some stuff.
Thanks
you've already failed the first test, which is learning to use google :v:
but seriously, the first result is this

Whatever you do, don't copy-paste code you see on sites. Re-typing it helps a lot.
This is why books are recommended, too, other than being easier to read.
Stuff I found on google are trash. They all teach to do this or that but nothing on how to start out.
I have NO idea about programming, I don't know what to even look for. Sure I can look for C# tutorials or C# for beginners, but I don't know if I am looking at the right stuff or not.
Just posted here to ask for some guidance.
Please recommend specific books or tutorials. I need to grasp the very basics.
Also before I can even start programming, what ide/compiler/whatever do I use?
Get Head First C# book. I read it and it was excellent. You don't need to know anything about programming before reading it.

Why don't they have a C++ version yet?

has a bunch of video tutorials, nothing in C#, but he makes it pretty easy for those who have no experience.

Note: They aren't actually using XNA, just the console.
Read a book about C#. I have quite a lot of them, and they helped me out.
Python.
Will you be developing on the .NET framework?
