Who wants to make a 2D game with me? (I'm an artist, not a programmer)

Hi all,
I am an artist, or like to call myself one anyway. I mostly do illustration stuff, but I've experimented with pixel art in the past. So, I'm an admittedly amateur pixel artist. However, I'm assuming a lot of people here are learners themselves. Thus, my proposal is to collaborate with someone in making a 2D game as a learning experience for both you and me. I am a fan of 2D action/adventure RPGs (Zelda among others), platformers (metroidvania stuff is fun, but I'm open to whatever), puzzlers, and point 'n click adventures.
Anyway, here's some stuff I've done. I'm including a little illustration just to showcase my capabilities as an artist in general:

I did a sizable portion of the now discontinued Jungle Ruins texture pack for Minecraft: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/541439-16x19【jungle-ruins】discontinued/

Anyway, if you're a programmer who clicks with the game genres I'm in to, likes my art, and is up for a game, post here and let's chat.
Nice artwork, you seem better than most. You should probably post some examples of animation though since that is such a key part in game development.
I would if I was further along in programming

Thanks for the compliment! I haven't done much animation. Like I said, I wanted to use this opportunity to learn some new things. One is exactly that. I'm sure I could work through it and come up with something I'm happy with. I've done Flash animation in the past (all lost on an old hard drive) and I did this. If the lack of pixel art animation puts anyone off then I guess that's how it is. I'll see if I can come up with some example stuff in my free time.
Wow, awesome.
I've been looking for an artist for a game I might start working on in the next couple months.
It's not exactly a platformer, though. If you've ever played the original Ecco the Dolphin games, then you'll have a good idea of what it'll be like. (except with guns and sea gooseberries [see avatar])
I'm actually really far in development with my game and would appreciate assets. You're really good and I love the work you have so far; it really matches the gritty style I want my game to be.
Here's some content of what I have so far:

Add me on steam if you're interested, I'd like to talk.
Interested in making a Flash platformer? I just got this working. WASD to move. It's a platformer game where you can walk along rounded surfaces. Very early version. PM me if you're interested.

I'm really far into C++/C#/C and LUA, but I haven't done much game programming apart from low level graphics drawing.
I did program for HL2 CTF and HL2 Empires ( steam api! ) if that counts.
if you are patient I would be happy to work with you.
Lets do a game abut grilling hotdogs in robots!
Really awesome art.
That's some awesome art, nicely done!
I was actually thinking of starting a big platformer project I have been planning for quite some time now, but if I did start work on it it'd be in a few weeks/months due to time constraints and the fact that I'm still maintaining my recent release and re-coding one of my old games from the ground up for web release (which, if I think about it, could do with some experienced art).
Add me on Steam if you're interested, and I'll tell you all about the platformer, see if you wanna work together.
If you really want to gain artistic experence, why not open a requests thread I for one would love to have someone that i could ask for some at now and then, however I cant really commit to anything at the moment
If you don't mind a relatively novice person then I'd gladly try and program games that you want.
You can see examples of my work on my 'blog' and the portion of my site to which my screenshots upload to (here).
(All screenshots I take get automatically uploaded there, but it should be obvious to which games I've made compared to games I've just screenshotted)
There are also a few vids on my youtube channel.
Wow, I'm surprised at all the responses in this thread. As for anyone else lurking or thinking about posting, I haven't committed to anything yet so keep 'em coming. I'm just taking a look at different people's ideas and skillsets before I commit to a project. Again, I appreciate all the compliments. Makes me feel a bit better about my work thus far.

I'm all about a cohesive visual package when it comes to games. I would rather put all of my efforts into one project that is special to me than scatter little bits of request work around. One of the things I really want to focus on is building a consistent pixel art style and creating a presentable package that is one single game.
Maybe you could help us out with our project?

I do the graphics, but my graphics are really not that great - and they take a lot of time to make.
For example, it took me weeks to come up with the character design in the pics. :v:
The flash thing feels like it could be from a Behemoth game
