Hello, Facepunch community.
Before I even start I'm going to apologize for my english which will inevitably contain a few spelling blunders since I've lived in italy for 12 years now...
I'm looking for someone who knows programming for videogames, a person who's had experience working with game engines such as Unity3D, UDK and such. Someone professional who's able to give full attention to a project which will most probably mean some interesting money.
What I need is someone capable of assembling various 3D assets, graphics and animations into the best-suiting game engine available. As a 3D modeller/artist I'm looking for help with my game project which I hopefully plan to sell when complete.
I'm looking to make an FPS/TPS shooter style based game, with acceptable graphics. Take a look at some of my work to get an idea of what I'm trying to taccle here...
Who are you? Can I see some of your work?
My name is Kenneth, (british-italian) I'm a Youtuber working from Italy at the moment. I'm actually one of the most popular characters in italy on the gaming scene, not that it really matters in this case. However, you can check this out:
This will be one of the characters featured in my game.

And this is some 3D work I made for the Serious Sam 3.5 engine)

This is an unofficial DLC package I made from scratch for Serious Sam HD on Steam. Note I have been world champion at this game since 2008. Next tournament is on April 26th so I've got a pretty busy schedule running XD

With that said, yes, I realistically beleive I have what it takes to work on something as ambitious as this.
Why will this sell?
Because the game will simply rock ... and
... because I'm very well known and thousands of people are pushing for a game made and approved by me. They will buy it. I know this sounds arrogant as shit, but it's the truth and I don't want to cut corners by toning this down. Just check out my Facebook and YouTube pages.
What's in it for you
So, if you have the knowledge and want to be lead programmer on this, you can add me right away on Skype @ kenneth.caselli
Just please, don't waste my time :)
Oh by the way, I'm offering a large part of the profit from whatever I earn out of this to you. Royalties all the way for every sale made. I'm looking for a partner, not a slave ;)
Also, this really isn't just about the money, it's first and foremost about making a game which dosen't kiss ass as most tend to do these days, and additionally to found a game developing team who will subsequently continue to work on future projects.
You see, italy sucks. The people suck. Nobody here seems to be able tell the ass end of the importance of work and dedication.
Looking foreward to hearing from you...
Kenneth 'Zeb89' Caselli
I'm glad you're recruiting people here on Facepunch, the gold standard when it comes to finding game programmers with industry experience.
I love irony, but let me tell you something: you can rest assured that Facepunch is a much more promising place to find professional people than italy is :)
Facepunch: better than Italy™

"long-term paid job" implies that you'll be paying us while we work for you, not that we'll get the money when (if) it sells.
I don't think many people are lucky enough to start out with a heap of cash.
I don't think many people are lucky enough to start out with a heap of cash.
No, but it's still not a "paid job". It does look long term, however. So it's more of a long term assignment for a random guy on the internet (facepunch!) with the promise of profit share at the end.
I don't think many people are lucky enough to start out with a heap of cash.
Which is why it's a good idea to volunteer for a project with the possible promise of some amount of cash at the end? And when it's not even your project, you're just doing it for someone else, who will take all the credit?
Obviously this will be on a contract, but you are free choose. Ask yourselves how I've worked for a well known game developing company such as Croteam. This is something I want to do, because it will sell and be a good game. With the followers and contacts I have there's no doubt the game will make enough.
Really, do you think I'd take the risk of frauding someone over a few extra bucks when I can make a ton anyway through the sales? With all the people following me who'd find out the next day?
Now what's the point of that? :)
world champion at this game since 2008.
So I can't help but notice that you seem to like bragging.

Okay, please, be a little bit modest. What are you going to do? Point a gun at your fanbase's head and demand £20 for a game? You have 41000 subscribers, and even though subscriber count doesn't matter, you imply that you are amazing and your subscribers would throw away £20 just for you.
In mid 2012 I made a soundboard with 100 of my phrases at 2€... it's still selling every day.
Do your research, please. You can choose either to trust me, or you can discard me as some arrogant ass who's trying to steal free labor. Fact is people know me and I really can't afford to mess around.
By the way, I don't need a gold name to boost my ego, I'd rather brag about other things. Just saying.
Can I be the ideas guy?

Jesus christ he made a soundboard, look out guys

I'd love to work for such an experienced member of the game development community for free

Oh shit, a soundboard! We're all fucked!
[editline]30th March 2013[/editline]
And what makes you refer to a gold name and boosting ego? I don't brag about it as I didn't buy it myself. You sound like a narcissistic bastard just by mentioning how 'popular' you are on YouTube, and the fact that you made a fucking soundboard with a couple of your 'phrases' that sells for 2€. No one gives a shit about your daily 2€.

the irony
I'm gonna start offering PR for ideas guys at £5 per post, and a paid online course in how to not insult people during your pitch.
It's hilarious how easily people take offence around here. I'm not going waste my time any further, as I do have to keep up the work. Don't trust me? No problem.
I was simply pointing out that people in fact do still buy things as trivial as soundboards (which indeed are piss easy to make), strange how that sounds "offensive" or presumptuous.
Ok, I've got better things to do, honestly

Like bragging on another, more populated forum? :v:

Ok, so let me sum this up for you:
First off, you're really fucking arrogant. You ask someone to develop a game with no salary. How do you expect people to do that? Do you think their rent and food will pay themselves?
Secondly, you're only in for the money. You don't want to produce anything of quality, because "you know people will buy it". Even if I had the skill, time and money (this is basically an investment), I wouldn't want to work with you.
Textbook idea guy.
I doubt anyone is going to take you up on this.
Either stay the fuck on topic or shut the fuck up.
are you having a bad day
Hypothetically guys if the OP was supposed to entail a partner to establish his product, how would he bind himself to a contract such that his partner can legally -- internationally -- sue him if he tries to cheat his way out, i.e. how can they contractually bond with each other indefinitely (at least with first world laws, e.g. the laws of UK, EU, US, etc)?
