Dissassembling Android APKs - Understanding SMALI - Bluetooth LE

I was curious if anyone has experience with disassembling APKs, understanding the format, and working with BTLE 4.0/4.1 on Android. Needless to say I'm trying to get some solid source code to understand the BTLE format for one of Microchip's new [URL="http://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/Devices.aspx?product=RN4020#documentation"]bluetooth module[/URL], they've failed to provide source code (even through tech support).

Awesome, thanks for your help. I've managed to open the decompiled JAR using the JD Project, and I'm interpreting it as best I can.
