Well this is a WIP, I'm releasing it as it is. I need some feedback. Made in ruby, as usual (Gosu lib).
Having to take important decisions from the very first game turn, until the last one: You can never know if you are going to win the game, because of the of possibilites that the game offers.Fighting computer player that actually do all they can to win the game and prevent other player to do so, instead of waiting to be slaughtered, like in so many games.
Getting rid of useless features that aren't really decision taking, but just processes that you have to repeat without thinking to win the game.
The game is in alpha stage, and currently is on the right direction to actually meet its goals. Still needs a lot of work though.

Saw 'ruby', thought it would work on Linux, was disappointed.
It does. Yet this is the windows package. Just edited the file to include the sources. Note :The custom cursor does not show on linux.
I didn't test this exact release on linux but It used to work. You need to run interface.rb in ruby.
Thanks, toying with this now.

Ah, I can't really tell what's going on in the game, and the FPS counter blinks. I also find it kind of sad that I don't get to see space most the time (I'm clicking on menus).
okay okay, the main idea is that your opponents (and you) can play "several times in a row", because of the order of play being determined by the strategies.
Ah. A simple tutorial video would clear that up.
OK, I released a new version. You now see a little bit more what's going on between turns.
That strategy determining the order of play thing reminds me of the board game twilight imperium, ever play it?
No But this is inspired from it.
Bumping this thread with the latest release.

Now it doesn't work on Linux at all, not even in Wine.
I tried it, it's pretty decent. Needs more stuff like planet constructions, ship varieties in it though, I love it so far.

The code contains some calls to the windows api, to set up the screen size and installs the fonts.
