ok
I know there are a few tools to do this already (although I can never seem to find them when I want to use them) but few of them take into account that keydown and keypress sometimes have different codes for the same button.

Company I'm working for needs to slim way down so I'm going to be laid off. I found this out yesterday.
Tomorrow morning I have a meeting for what is likely going to be my next job (investors in the new company run in the same circle as the CEO of the place I work now). The new job is in the same office, and it's Ruby/Rails instead of PHP and Magento. Booyah. The best part is I didn't even have to look for the new job haha. Yay for continuing my streak of never writing a resume and still somehow always being employed!
Website design of the year:

Whoever designed this website is the best web designer ever. Someone find this man (or woman) so I can personally give them the award, preferably with my fists. That would be great.
Just look at that banner up at the top. Best photoshop work I've ever seen.

Is that a slideshow? No way! Best website ever!
It even uses JQuery 1.5.3! They sure know how to keep up with the times :v:

Alright enough of that. On topic, here's how DM is starting to look:

Feedback on the portal layout? It's 100% made from scratch. I'm particularly proud of the header image, it just looks so badass. Too bad I only made my source image 180px high, I'll probably redo that in the future. Would love to redo it and have it a little bit higher so it can be used for other things.
Here's what I've been working on, learning css and html again, feel like detail is lacking but dunno what, haven't made a website since I was like 14

It's definitely a start. First thing I would do is remove the bright white borders, they're too rough on the eyes. Secondly, instead of applying a margin to the <body>, why not just put the website inside of a wrapper and then put a margin on that instead?
Otherwise, good start. At least you're not using tables!
I've put up a semi-live version of my forums at here:

Log in and posting replies + ban list don't work for obvious reasons but other than that should be functioning.

Interception of requests, awesome for debugging.

Incredibly happy, haha. Just got back from the meeting and it went really well. Just need to figure out when I can make the switch over now. Apparently the initial dev work on the new project was pretty sloppy so there will definitely be some clean-up to do, but I'm really excited to be working with rails during my day job again soon.

In other news, I'm writing a little web app for fun. It's generically called "timelog," and it'll hopefully help me monitor how well I'm using my time.
Tried to improve the gui of my css sprite generator and fixed some bugs.

Just added some neato sitemap.xml generation using the big_sitemap gem and hooked it all up so capistrano symlinks the right sitemap in when I deploy. I can generate a new sitemap with a capistrano command as well. Neato.
Finally using heroku for the first time, and I'm pretty impressed. I'm building my own version of 750words.com because that one is going pay-only soon and I have some cool ideas for doing my own version.

Need help with how to fix the logo and navbar, i'm totally lost.

Finally finished my JQuery dropdown menus. Each one is given a dynamic assignment, so multiple menus can be opened at once and will close on their own timer.
With this said, it is my first completed JQuery script that will be put to use. Any feedback is appreciated.
