So i managed to get the 3D files from metro 2033 using Unpacker, using m2033_import plug in for max 2012, also the textures appear visible inside the program however i need these files to be converted in a more simple format like jpg, png , tga, etc instead they are in .512 and .1024. How do i convert these?? Apologies for the noobish thread
tried exporting that usually creates a material file and if all else fails you could try drop and dragging it out of materials onto desktop

You convert the textures using magicdds. It's a command line program with no GUI. It's easy enough to figure out if you have a basic understanding of command prompts and can read.
