Modeling programs?

I'm looking for any purchasable or free programs so I can start modeling for Garry's Mod.

3ds max, Maya are purchasable but don't think you would want spending so much for them.
Just get Blender it's free.

I would recommend "3DS Max" you can get it for free if you sign up as a student on their website (You can even get the 2012 edition too!)

yes u can get 3ds max free from their website but blender is way easyer to model with by far
so I recomend geting blender from blender.org

3ds max is the best and easiest to use in my opinion, plus there are a lot of tutorials both specifically for source and for general purpose
