So basically I got the PC version of GRAW2 and I decided to whip out 3D Ripper DX. Funnily enough, it's the only game that the ripper actually works on, and does not immediately crash or produce no output upon capturing a frame.
Anyway, I decided to rip the weapons. So I went on to the training map, got out loads of weapons, captured, etc.
Then I imported the resultant 3DR files into 3ds max. Ok, the models are all there and boy do they look great. One problem: no textures. Upon further investigation, I discovered that while 3D Ripper DX had indeed ripped textures for the models, they were all blank. Transparent. Every single one. Which means that I have some awesome weapon models lying around (Rx4, M99, M240) but no textures for them.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this is due to the wacky deferred shading I hear that Diesel engine uses, but I'd like to know if anyone else has successfully ported content from GRAW2 or other Diesel games.
